Aloha,
Because I have been doing weddings on Oahu for over 20 years, I often get asked by couples who are traveling to Oahu for nuptials about beach wedding locations. By far, the most popular time for weddings that I perform are sunset weddings. If a sunset wedding is on the horizons for you, here are some suggestions:
First of all, find out what time the sun is setting by using a sunset/sunrise website like the following: https://www.sunrisesunset.com/USA/Hawaii/ (Hint: you can use Honolulu as the city)
Secondly, I recommend planning to meet with your wedding party and vendors at least 45 minutes before the sunset time to allow for a ceremony and then sunset pictures with your photographer afterwards.
Location - If you want a sunset wedding, look at beach locations on the LEEWARD side of the island. The west facing side of Oahu (Waikiki to Makaha) has more weather stability and also will up your chances to having a wedding with the setting sun behind you. Beaches on the Windward side of the island (Makapu'u Beach to Laie) typically face the rising sun and are not as conducive to sunset visibility)
My favorite beaches for sunset weddings are on the North Shore. Why? They tend to be less crowded, have more parking availability and offer wonderful opportunities for pristine views of the setting sun.
Feel free to reach out for more specifics on beach locations for your special day.
